Go Sun Chinese Restaurant
“Best Eating Establishment 2013, 2016” were awarded in association with Ballymena Borough Business Excellence Awards
County Antrim’s oldest and finest Chinese Restaurant (est 1966)
located at Bridge Street, only a couple minutes walk down from the town’s main attraction “The Braid” Art Centre, making it the ideal spot for a ‘Dinner and Show’ night out.
Since the restaurant opens the doors in 1966, 50 years ago, we have always been the locals’ favourite.
The Go Sun restaurant underwent major refurbishment recently, during the time the Restaurant has been transformed into a stylish, comfortable and inviting establishment. The restaurant is spacious and wheel chair friendly with an extensive stocked bar offering a wide selection of drinks such as whiskeys, gins and fabulous cocktails.
We have over 40 different types of whiskys from Japan, Scotland and of course the Irish, probably the largest in Northern Ireland. We also have a good selection of Gin from around the world : England, Spain, USA, Northern Ireland, South Ireland and Italy as well.
Our head chef Stephen and Heung have introduced some exciting dishes to the menu including Heung’s Seabass (seabass cooked with wine sauce), mature Fillet Steak with Tea Tree Mushrooms (cooked with light oyster sauce), Chicken Rendang- a dish full of flavours, if you fancy hot spicy food, why not try the trio chilli Fillet or Thai Red Curry – a few of our home specialities. Our tantalising starters including Lok Bah Gou – Chinese Turnip cake in Xo, Filo King Prawns with sweet chili sauce and Salted Chilli King Prawn, to name a few. Our desserts Menu included a few homemade desserts such as white chocolate roulade, Cheesecake and Deep Fried Ice Cream (~ famous hot and cold chinese dessert) as well.
The Go Sun offers a wide range of menus from Lunch, Early Bird Menu, Sunday evening Dinner and set menus as well. On each Thursday, we also have Buffet as well, from 12 to 2 and 6 to 9pm. Each menu offers a wide variety of choice and selection of cuisine foods.
